The idea behind these bowls was to let the black clay speak for itself. The bowls are carved in a diagonal direction are coated with a transparent glaze outside and a glossy white glaze inside, while the bottom half of the bowl is kept bare outside that makes its user appreciate the beauty of bare clay. Multipurpose in nature, use these bowls to eat snack from, or as tea cups during winters to keep your hands warm.
These bowls were made with black stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and were fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade in an oxidation atmosphere. The glaze is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. These bowls haven't been tested for microwave-safety so exercise caution. Handwash highly recommended with a mild detergent and a soft sponge.
