The inspiration behind these mugs were the blue skies. The inside of the mugs has a glossy white glaze while the outside wall is an overlap of a textured white glaze under an icy blue glaze. There are light speckles on the outer body of the mugs which adds a different dimension to it.
These mugs were made with white stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and were fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade in an oxidation atmosphere. The glaze is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. The mugs haven't been tested for microwave-safety. Handwash highly recommended with a mild detergent and a soft sponge.
