Inspired by the iconic Korean Maebyong form, this piece features a narrow neck that flows into broad, generous shoulders, before gracefully tapering toward a stable base.
The upper two-thirds of the vase are dipped in a glossy, moss-green celadon glaze. The finish is highly reflective, showcasing subtle depth and occasional darker speckles. The lower portion is left unglazed to reveal a beautiful, toasted-sand stoneware body. The speckled buff clay provides a gritty, matte contrast to the smooth glassiness of the top half.
This piece holds on its own, and looks equally beautiful with dried or fresh flowers.
This decorative vase was made with white stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and was fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade. The glaze is food-safe. Handwash highly recommended with a mild detergent and a soft sponge.
