This wheel-thrown tumbler features a tapered form that offers a comfortable, ergonomic grip. The surface is defined by elegant, vertical fluting that wraps around the body, adding a rhythmic texture that catches the light and emphasises the piece's sculptural quality.
The upper portion is finished in a warm, toasted amber-honey glaze that deepens into intense, dark chocolate tones within the recessed fluted channels, creating a dramatic, cascading effect. This contrasts beautifully with the lower portion of the tumbler, which is left in a raw, unglazed state, showcasing the warm, natural, and tactile quality of the ceramic clay body.
These tumblers were made with white stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and were fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade in an oxidation atmosphere. The glaze is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. The tumblers haven't been tested for microwave-safety so exercise caution. Handwash highly recommended with a mild detergent and soft sponge.
