Jar (Cylinder - W/T) - Golden Ochre and Brown

The design of this wheelthrown jar is characterized by its wide body and an overhanging lid with a subtle, tapered knob, giving it a modern yet ancient feel.

The exterior showcases a deep, matte charcoal-black base that meets a variegated metallic bronze glaze on the upper half and lid. The lid itself features beautiful concentric glaze movement, with tones of weathered copper and sandy ochre that catch the light. When opened, the jar reveals a fully glazed dark interior, maintaining its sleek, minimalist aesthetic.

The contrast between the dark, exposed clay and the sun-baked golden glaze makes it a perfect functional accent for a modern kitchen or a cozy bedside table.

The jar were made with black stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and were fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade in an oxidation atmosphere. The glaze is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. The jar hasn't been tested for microwave-safety so exercise caution. Handwash highly recommended with a mild detergent and a soft sponge.
