This wheelthrown vase features a robust, globular body that tapers gracefully into a short, flared neck and a smooth, rounded rim. Its high-shouldered profile gives it a grounded, balanced presence, while the exposed buff-colored stoneware base provides a clean, earthy contrast to the intricate glaze work above.
This piece has a deeply carved exterior, defined by a series of diagonal, sweeping grooves that wrap around the vessel. The pistachio-green glaze compliments the brown slip settled into the grooves all over. The glaze has a matte-satin finish.

This decorative vase was made with white stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and was fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade. The glaze is food-safe. Handwash highly recommended with a mild detergent and a soft sponge.
