Small Plate - Brown-Black

The idea behind these plates was to keep them simple and let the black clay speak for itself. The plates are drawn with minimalist, sweeping "trail" design consisting of two thin parallel lines in a muted silver or white, punctuated by three delicate dots near the center.

Coated with a transparent glaze, it helps in retaining the natural colour of the black clay.

These plates were made with black stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and were fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade in an oxidation atmosphere. The glaze is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. These plates haven't been tested for microwave-safety so exercise caution. Handwash highly recommended with a mild detergent and a soft sponge.
