This wheelthrown vase has a wave-like silhouette. The outer surface showcases a deep, matte charcoal-black clay with a variegated metallic bronze glaze on the upper 3/4th of the vase. The glaze breaks beautifully on the rim, exposing the dark clay body underneath. While the glazed portion of the vase is smooth to touch, the unglazed base provides a tactile experience.
The vase made with black stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and were fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade in an oxidation atmosphere. The glaze is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. Handwash highly recommended with a mild detergent and a soft sponge.
