This wheel-thrown tea cup set is designed to encourage you to cradle the warmth directly in your palms. This handle-free cup features a minimalist, ergonomic form designed to fit comfortably in the hand.
The exterior is finished in a vibrant, deep blue glaze featuring a "snowfall" micro-crystal effect, which creates a striking, textured contrast against the lighter, unglazed clay foot. The inside is glazed in a food-safe, crackle glaze which will stain over time, creating a beautiful, personalized patina with regular tea use.
These bowls were made with white stoneware clay on the pottery wheel and were fired to 1,200 degrees centigrade in an oxidation atmosphere. The glaze is food-safe, though, due to the crackle glaze inside, do not store tea/coffee inside it for long periods of time. These bowls haven't been tested for dishwasher and microwave-safety so exercise caution. Handwash highly recommended with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft sponge.
